The foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and China spoke by telephone about the latest developments in Gaza. According to the official Saudi Arabian News Agency (WAS), the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, Faisal bin Farhan, in a telephone conversation with his counterpart from China, Wang Yi on Saturday (14/10/2023) discussed the current situation in Gaza and the international efforts being made to stop conflict in Gaza. 

The foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and China stressed the importance of stopping all forms of attacks on civilians and the commitment of all parties involved in the conflict to follow international law. In this call, Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister called on Beijing to carry out its role as a permanent member of the UN Security Council to ensure that the council fulfills its responsibilities in maintaining international peace and security by urging the immediate cessation of military operations and the lifting of the blockade of Gaza. According to the latest statistics, at least 2,228 Palestinians were killed, and 8,714 people were injured as a result of the Zionist regime's attacks on Gaza in the last seven days.
