France, Macron bypasses Parliament: he will put his trust in the pension reform
In France, Emmanuel Macron has decided, bypassing Parliament, that the government will raise the question of trust to pass the disputed pension reform. In the next 24 hours the oppositions will have the right to present motions of censure. The executive, however, has little chance of being defeated on trust. Thousands of people have taken to the streets since January against the reform, which provides for the progressive raising of the retirement age from 62 to 64.
