Haniyeh: Ceasefire Agreement Closer
The Head of the Political Office of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) announced that a ceasefire agreement is getting closer.
Reuters reported, Ismail Haniyeh, Head of the Hamas Political Office in a statement on Tuesday (21/11/2023) said, "We are close to reaching a ceasefire agreement and have conveyed our answer to the Qatari brothers and other mediators." Previously, Zionist regime TV revealed that the Israeli war cabinet had given the green light to the competent authorities to sign a ceasefire agreement with Hamas. This source added that the release of 50 prisoners in Gaza and the release of Palestinian women in Israel as well as a ceasefire for 5 days were also discussed. Earlier, the Qatari Prime Minister in a press conference with European Union foreign policy officials on Sunday said, "There are obstacles that have arisen in the prisoner exchange agreement. But we are becoming more confident that we are close to reaching an agreement. The challenges in negotiations are easy and we can overcome them.
