The epicenter of this earthquake was near the city of Herat, northwest Afghanistan, and the depth of the earthquake was 10 km. In its report, the UN announced that the death toll from this earthquake was more than 320 people. The intensity of this earthquake was so strong that it was felt in parts of Iran, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
