A meeting of the UN Human Rights Council on the issue of insulting the Holy Quran is being held in Geneva at the request of the ambassadors of Islamic countries. According to the announced program, at the end of the meeting, a resolution proposed by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in condemning insults to the Holy Quran and religions should be presented and approved.

Insulting Islamic shrines, especially the Holy Quran, has repeatedly happened in some European countries. In the last instance of these heinous acts, we can mention the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden, which provoked a strong reaction from the Muslims of the world and many international forums.
