In its first reaction to the ICJ decision, South Africa declared a “decisive victory” for the rule of international law and stressed: “This decision is a major turning point in the search for justice for the Palestinians.” The Palestinian Hamas movement welcomed the Hague court's verdict against the Zionist regime and said: "The verdict confirmed Israel's accusations of mass murder [of the Palestinian people] and called on the Israeli army to lift the blockade of the Gaza Strip and fulfill its responsibilities under international law." Stating that the decision meant "an end to all aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip," Hamas asked the international community to force Israel to comply with the court's rulings and stop the massacre of the Palestinian people. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Palestinian Authority, welcoming the decisions of the International Court of Justice, emphasized that the judges of this court voted for humanity and international law. Egypt also called on the Zionist regime to respect international laws and international humanitarian law by immediately implementing all measures contained in the decision of the International Court of Justice. After the International Court of Justice ruled against Israel, a US State Department spokesman said: "We continue to believe that Israel's charges of genocide are unfounded." Meanwhile, international relations experts argue that the ICJ's decision means that South Africa's claim of genocide in the Gaza Strip will not be rejected and will be considered by this court. The Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, in response to the verdict of the International Criminal Court (The Hague) against the Zionist regime, called the charge of genocide terrible and shocking and said that the war in Gaza will continue. Benjamin Netanyahu said: "The International Court of Justice's desire to discuss charges of genocide against Israel is a disgrace that will not be erased from the memory of generations. We will continue this war until complete victory, until all hostages are returned and Gaza is no longer a threat to Israel."
