According to the news agency AP, following the arrest of the Suez Rajan ship, last May, and the theft of Iranian oil carried out by the United States on the ship, the oil ship with the new name St Nicholas was arrested in the waters of the Sea of Oman earlier today Thursday. An Iranian oil tanker with the flag of the Marshall Islands, Suez Rajan, was illegally seized by Washington in April 2023 under the pretext of a "sanctions enforcement operation" and taken to a Texas port. The oil tanker, renamed ST Nicholas, was carrying oil in the Sea of Oman, and was seized by the strategic forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran on a court order and with the approval of the Ports and Shipping Corporation, in retaliation for the theft of oil made by the United States and is being transported to the ports of the Islamic Republic where it will be handed over to the judicial authorities. Earlier, the UK Maritime Trade Operations Organization (UKMTO) announced that the Marshall Islands-flagged tanker St Nicholas had loaded fuel at around 7:30 (0330 GMT) from Sohar in Oman and that it had changed course to Bandar-e-Jask in Iran. The United States has been using force to seize Iranian and other countries' oil tankers in international waters and steal the product.
