Israel Accused of Spreading False Reports on Assassination of Resistance Commanders

Recent claims by Israeli authorities regarding the alleged assassination of resistance commanders in the Gaza Strip have been met with strong denial and condemnation from various sources. The allegations, widely circulated by Israeli media, have been labeled as false and misleading by analysts and commentators.

In particular, the Zionist regime's media reported the death of Mohammed al-Zeif, a senior commander of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement. However, these claims have been dismissed as fabrications aimed at bolstering morale amid ongoing conflicts. Arab world analyst Abdul Bari Atwan, writing for the Rai al-Yom newspaper, described the reports as "delusions stemming from bankruptcy and desperation."

Atwan's analysis suggests that the resistance commanders in Gaza, who orchestrated the "Holy Sword" operation in defense of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the recent "Operation Flood of Aqsa," have become significant threats to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his administration. "The persistence of resistance groups in Gaza has been a nightmare for Netanyahu and his extremist allies, prompting them to resort to various tactics, including false news reports, to claim success," Atwan wrote.

The analyst further noted the Israeli army's frustration with the resilience of Gaza's resistance leaders, including Yahya al-Sinwar, Mohammed al-Zeif, Marwan Issa, and Rafi Salamah. Despite numerous efforts, Israeli forces have been unable to reach these key figures. "The Zionist army dreams of eliminating these leaders, but their efforts have so far been futile," Atwan emphasized.

Atwan concluded his report by criticizing the Israeli military's strategy, stating, "Those who face defeat on the battlefield turn to terrorism. Victory for the Israeli army in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and South Lebanon cannot be achieved through lies, deception, genocide, or the increasing number of child martyrs."

The situation in Gaza remains tense, with the ongoing conflict taking a heavy toll on civilians and infrastructure. International observers continue to call for a resolution that respects human rights and ensures the safety and well-being of all parties involved. As the information war escalates alongside physical confrontations, discerning truth from propaganda becomes increasingly crucial for understanding the realities on the ground
