Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders stated that the United States should not continue to participate in the Zionist regime's war against the Palestinian people. Sanders stated that he aims to present the draft ban on arms to Israel for consideration by the Senate.

He noted: "There is no longer any doubt that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has violated both US law and international law by waging a brutal war in Gaza against the Palestinian people."

Noting that more than 43,000 of Gaza's 2,200,000 people were killed, 102,000 were injured, and 60% of them were women, children or the elderly, Sanders added. "Israel destroyed 70% of Gaza's homes and infrastructure, the health system, hundreds of schools and bombed all 12 universities."

Noting that thousands of residents of the Gaza Strip are struggling with malnutrition, Sanders added: "The volume of aid reaching Gaza has reached the lowest level since the beginning of the attacks of the Israeli army. Meanwhile, blocking the access of humanitarian aid violates the law on humanitarian aid and the Geneva Convention.

Sanders reminded that the war against the defenseless people of Gaza was fought almost entirely with American weapons and 18 billion dollars paid by US taxpayers.

He wrote: "Israel dropped 900 kg bombs on the crowded neighborhoods of Gaza. Those bombs were donated to the regime by the United States. Under the pretext of driving out Hamas forces, these bombs killed hundreds of civilians and made little effort to distinguish between soldiers and civilians. All these actions are immoral and illegal."

The senator stated that the US cannot continue to participate in this barbaric war by providing more military aid to Netanyahu's cabinet.
