Sergey Lavrov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia and his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Shoukry, yesterday exchanged ideas and discussed the situation in the Middle East, especially the situation in the Gaza Strip. This is according to the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia. Lavrov and Shoukry have stressed the need to quickly join international efforts to find a legal solution, including the creation of an independent Palestinian state within the borders of 1967, with its capital in East Quds. The Foreign Ministers of Russia and Egypt have expressed this on the sidelines of the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the G-20 group that is being held in Brazil. The G-20 Foreign Ministers have also emphasized that there is a need for the Palestinian state to live together in peace with Israel. In addition to holding talks with his Egyptian counterpart, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov also held talks with his fellow ministers of Brazil, Mexico and Paraguay.

The crimes committed by Israel against the Palestinians in Gaza are considered to be the greatest ever witnessed in recent decades and most of these crimes have been called the destruction of a generation while being compared to the crimes committed by Adolf Hitler, the Nazi leader of Germany, in the Second World War . In relation to the issue, President Luis Inacio Lula Da Salva of Brazil has warned that what is happening in the Gaza Strip against the people of Palestine has never been witnessed in any other period of history except the time of Hitler. The President of Brazil has emphasized that what is happening in the Gaza Strip is not a war but a genocide reminiscent of Hitler's actions. So far more than 29,195 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been martyred and more than 69,000 others have been injured in the Israeli-American war against Gaza. Many hospitals and medical centers have been targeted and destroyed by Israeli attacks. In addition, the activities of providing humanitarian services and rescuing war casualties have stalled and even stopped due to attacks by Israel, supported in terms of condition and property by some Western countries. The World Health Organization (WHO) has announced that Israel does not allow representatives of the organization to enter and investigate the condition of Nasser Hospital. It is the largest hospital in southern Gaza that has not been used following Israeli attacks. The Secretary General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres has said regarding the situation in the Gaza Strip that: "Nothing can justify the collective punishment against the Palestinian people. The humanitarian situation in Gaza cannot be described in words, and no place or person is safe in the region that." Israel's crimes against the Palestinians are so extreme that in recent months, due to Israel's insistence on continuing the war and genocide against the Palestinians, various countries, while condemning Israel's crimes, have called for an end to the atrocities in the Gaza Strip. In this regard, South Africa submitted a complaint to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) against the Zionist regime for allegedly committing genocide in the Gaza Strip.

South Africa's charges state that Israel has violated the terms of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide. Following the charges, the International Court of Justice decided that Israel must take the necessary measures to prevent the crime of genocide against the human race. Israel continues its attacks on Gaza Many countries have supported the action of South Africa and demanded an end to Israel's crimes against the Palestinians. Tirana Hassan, Executive Director of the human rights organization Human Rights Watch, says in relation to the issue that: "If the Israeli government does not comply with the procedures or court orders, the international community must ensure that there are all kinds of pressures to force the government to act accordingly. those steps." The level of Israeli crimes in Palestine has made even the European allies of the illegal regime call for an end to the killing of civilians. Josep Borrell, Head of Foreign Policy of the European Union, has explained in his statement addressing the President of the United States, Joe Biden, without mentioning the country that:  "If you believe that many people are being killed in Gaza, maybe you should give less weapons to prevent more people from being killed. It is surprising to see that various countries repeatedly say that Israel is killing a large number of civilians in Gaza, but they do not take reasonable measures to prevent the killing."  Joe Biden once said in his speech in the past that Israel's response to the Hamas attack of October 7 has gone too far. Josep Borrell, EU's foreign policy chief The recent statements of the President of Brazil and his comparison of Israel's crimes in Gaza with the crimes committed by Hitler during the Second World War, have once again directed the world's opinions and thoughts to the disaster that is happening in that small land with a large population. . With all this, the important question that emerges is that, what steps have been taken by the international community to stop this terrible disaster?
