Lawyers reveal evidence implicating British officials in war crimes in Gaza
The International Center for Justice for Palestine in London has announced that it has submitted evidence of the involvement of Israeli officials and the British government in war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza at the International Court of Justice and Scotland Yard in England.
Heidi Dixtal, senior adviser at the International Center for Palestinian Justice, confirmed at a press conference in London that the center continues to support the secrecy of the Scotland Yard investigation. Dixtal has explained that it is impossible to predict when the names of those involved in war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza will be announced at this stage of the investigation. The evidence includes personal narratives and photographic evidence including attacks on civilians, civilian property, and infrastructure such as hospitals and properties protected under international law, as well as torture by starvation, the use of collective punishment, and attacks against humanitarian aid. The file also contains photographic evidence supporting claims that the Israeli army has used white phosphorus against Gazans, in violation of international law. This action comes after the International Center for Justice for Palestine announced last October that it has issued a notice of intent to prosecute British politicians, including government ministers, for involvement in war crimes in Gaza. It will be remembered that a week ago the International Court of Justice (ICJ) began to hear the case filed by South Africa against the Zionist regime of Israel, on suspicion of committing genocide against the Palestinians of Gaza. South Africa's main charges are war crimes, genocide and ethnic cleansing in Gaza and other occupied Palestinian territories.
