Maduro: Guaido 'invented' by imperialist oligarchs

CARACAS-Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has announced that presidential elections will be held in 2024. Speaking on the Radio La Pizarra Channel, Maduro weighed in on the election calendar. "In 2024 there will be presidential elections, the people will vote and choose their candidate. On January 10, 2025, the president will take the oath for the next term. The course of our country will be determined by peace, democracy and the power of the people", Maduro said. "I don't care what imperialism, the right and Europe think about Venezuela's democratic process. We don't care if they say anything, whether they recognize it or not."
