Maldives to ban Israelis from entering the country
The Maldives has announced that it will ban passport holders of the illegal Israeli regime from entering the islands located in the Indian Ocean.
The government of the Republic of Maldives has said that it is preparing a law to ban Israelis from entering the small South Asian country, where most of its inhabitants are Muslims.
The spokesman of the President's Office, Mohamed Muizzu, said, "The President is determined to ban Israeli passports." However, he did not provide detailed information about the date of commencement of the ban.
The government of the Maldives has taken this step following the complaints and outrage of the people of the islands on the terrible crimes that continue to be committed by the Zionist regime of Israel against the Palestinians of the Gaza Strip.
Citizens of various countries in the world, including the West, have been protesting to show solidarity and support for the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, who are facing the genocidal war of the oppressive Israeli regime.
Similarly, President Muizzu of the Maldives has announced the launch of a national campaign to raise money for the oppressed citizens of Palestine. The nationwide initiative is being held under the theme "Maldives in Solidarity with the Palestinians."
About 11,000 Israelis visited the Maldives last year, which is 0.6 percent of all tourists who visited the Indian Ocean islands in 2023.
