Massive demonstrations in New York in support of Palestine, and calls for an immediate ceasefire
Thousands of pro-Palestinian protesters have poured into the streets of New York, USA to support the Palestinians, as the illegal Israeli regime continues its barbaric attacks against the besieged Gaza Strip. The protesters gathered in front of City Hall on Tuesday and began marching across the Manhattan Bridge into Brooklyn carrying placards and waving Palestinian flags. Protesters at the rally, dubbed 'NYC Flood Election Day for Gaza,' said they wanted their voices heard by elected officials, while calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. Nerdeen Kiswani, one of the organizers of the meeting said: "It is a cry for freedom that we have been repeating for decades, and it is very important for these elected leaders to hear this cry." Kiswani added that: "We will continue to stand up for Palestine, not only until the attacks stop, the war ceases, but until the siege is lifted and all of Palestine is free."
