Military Aggression in Gaza Kills More Than 4,000 Palestinian Students
The Gaza Ministry of Education announced that more than 4,000 students and 209 Palestinian education staff were killed as a result of the Zionist regime's military attacks.
According to an Al Jazeera report on Thursday (28/12/2023), as many as 21,110 Palestinians died in the Gaza war. This number is equivalent to one percent of the Palestinian population in Gaza, and this issue is the most obvious reason for the genocide against Palestinians carried out by the Zionist regime. According to an announcement by the Gaza Ministry of Education, from October 7 to December 26, 4,037 students and 209 education sector employees died as a result of the brutality of the Zionist regime against Palestinians in Gaza. Additionally, in the same time period, 7,259 students and 619 teachers were injured in airstrikes and ground operations by Zionist regime forces. Schools in the three districts of Gaza City, Khan Younis and North Gaza, suffered the most damage due to the Zionist regime's attacks, so that 74 percent of all damage occurred in these areas. The Gaza Ministry of Education and non-governmental organizations based in the strip have announced that Israel has targeted 352 schools in Gaza and destroyed them in whole or in part. Therefore, the education of more than 400,000 Palestinians, 52 percent of whom are women, is affected. Fierce fighting between the Palestinian resistance and the occupying army continues on the 82nd day. Despite the heavy casualties suffered by Palestinian civilians in Gaza and international warnings regarding the increasing number of civilian casualties, the Zionist regime continues to intensify its military operations on land and air in Gaza.
