New British sanctions against Russia
New British sanctions against Russia
Britain, continuing its hostile policy towards Russia, introduced new sanctions against this country. Since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, London has become an active player on the battlefield in this war and, taking an anti-Russian position, sends weapons and military equipment to Ukraine and imposes sanctions against Moscow, thereby escalating tension and confrontation. Under the pretext of what it calls Russia's access to foreign military equipment, the British government on Tuesday imposed sanctions on a number of individuals and entities associated with Iran, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Slovakia and Switzerland, according to the AAA.
According to this report, London has imposed sanctions on 22 individuals and entities outside of Russia for allegedly supporting Moscow in the war in Ukraine. In this regard, 3 Russian companies importing electronic components necessary for the Russian army were under these British sanctions. British Foreign Secretary James Cleverley announced this in a statement and said: "Today's sanctions target the supply chain of the Russian defense industry and will further deplete this country's arsenal." The UK has so far sanctioned 1,627 people and institutions for allegedly violating Russian sanctions.
