New fighting has been reported in several areas of Sudan
Several people are feared to have been killed and injured after new clashes broke out between the Sudanese Army (SAF) and a group of rebels known as the Rapid Support Force (RSF) in different parts of Sudan.
The news sources inform that, the new wave of fighting erupted yesterday Sunday in the capital Khartoum, the city of el-Fasher and also in the states of AJ and White Nile.
It is reported that, a heavy cloud of smoke was seen rising in the air coming from the Al-Jaili Oil Refinery in the north of Khartoum, due to the fighting.
In addition, the planes of the Sudanese army have attacked the gatherings of RSF fighters in the village of Bika, west of the city of Wad Madani, the capital of Al Jazirah province.
More information says that several people have been injured after their houses were attacked by rockets near the city of el-Fasher, the capital of North Darfur state.
The new fighting is reported as national and international humanitarian aid organizations warn that the increase in obstacles and problems facing humanitarian aid to the needy in Sudan will lead to an increase in the deaths of poor people in the country.
Armed clashes began in Sudan on April 15 last year between the Sudanese Army led by General Abdel Fattah al Burhan who is the leader of Sudan and the RSF rebels whose commander is Hamdan Dagalo. Until now, international mediation efforts to end the conflict, which has resulted in the deaths of more than 14,000 people and approximately 8.5 million forced to become refugees inside and outside of Sudan, have hit a rock.
