Niger's political and civil activist Michael Zodi, in an interview with Iranpress news agency reporter in Niamey, the capital of this African country, talked about the importance of canceling Niger's military agreement with the USA and said, "This action is beneficial as Niger moves towards real governance."

This young Nigerian activist stated that Americans are dangerous and said, "With the new political situation in Niger, it is no longer possible to accept any bilateral cooperation and partnership that will weaken the national sovereignty of this country."

Nigerian citizen "Kabiro Muhammed", in an interview with Iranpress correspondent in Niamey, stated that the presence of American soldiers in Niger is not effective in the fight against terrorism and said, "The cancellation of Niger's military agreement with America was a useful decision because this is the will of the people."

Another young Nigerian, Rabio Bubakar, in an interview with Iranpress correspondent, evaluated the cancellation of the military agreement with the USA as benefiting Niger's national sovereignty and said: Despite the presence of the American army, terrorism has not been eliminated in Niger.

Another Nigerian youth and activist, in his interview with Iranpress reporter, evaluated the cancellation of Niger's military agreement with the USA as the right decision taken within the framework of Niger's full independence.

The Niger-based military government announced on Saturday last week that it canceled the military and cooperation agreement with the US Department of Defense, and with this action, the presence of US troops in Niger was deemed to have effectively ended.

There are approximately 1,100 American soldiers at two military bases in Niger.

Previously, upon the request of the people and the Niger-based military government, French soldiers left Niger territory and the people of this country celebrated victory.
