"The special flight from Niamey has just taken off with Italian and foreign citizens on board who have decided to leave from Niger. The arrival is expected in the early hours of the morning in Rome". This information was provided by the Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani to the media. "Evolution in Niger is being followed minute by minute. At the moment there are just under 100 civilian Italians present in the African country, and then another 400 soldiers who are part of a contingent but are not in the capital. They are all in safety" .
