Nord Stream, Sweden rejects Russia's request to investigate pipeline accidents
Sweden sees no interest in the request to form a joint group to investigate the accidents at the Nord Stream gas pipelines. Swedish prosecutors "see no interest" in setting up a joint group to investigate the Nord Stream explosions, a diplomatic source from New York told Sputnik.Earlier, Russia's First Deputy Representative to the United Nations Dmitry Polyansky said Moscow had distributed copies of correspondence to the United Nations with countries investigating the pipeline incident, namely Denmark, Sweden and Germany.
As follows from the published materials, the Russian side sent requests for the formation of a joint group. In response, the Swedish authorities said: "Your request was sent to the prosecutor's office, on November 18, 2022, they have stated that they have no interest in setting up a joint investigation team on this matter."
