North Korea launched several more new cruise missiles
For the second time in less than a week, North Korea has launched several more new cruise missiles along the east coast.
North Korea has put strengthening its defense capabilities on its agenda, including expanding its missile defenses, at a time when the country has repeatedly announced that it will increase its defensive strength due to provocative actions by the US and its two regional allies, i.e. Seoul and Tokyo. and has no intention of attacking other countries. The Yonhap news agency reported today (Sunday), citing the joint headquarters of the South Korean army, that North Korea's newest missile test was conducted this morning. North Korea's newest missile test came days after the country tested a new strategic cruise missile called the Pulhwasal-3-31, capable of carrying a nuclear warhead. Also today, North Korea's official news agency (KCNA), pointing out that the US and South Korean armies have conducted a series of military exercises in recent weeks, warned that the actions of these countries will be met with "merciless" consequences. According to KCNA, military exercises for nuclear war against North Korea have been mindlessly continuing since the beginning of the new year and this "needs Pyongyang's full preparedness for a deadly war." North Korea conducted its first test of a cruise missile capable of a probable nuclear attack in September 2021. North Korea and South Korea have already held negotiations several times to resolve their differences, however, the United States has constantly prevented the resolution of differences on the Korean Peninsula by interfering in the affairs of East Asia and with its military movements in the region. North Korean leader Kim Jong Un recently ordered the demolition of a building symbolizing reunification with South Korea in the city of Pyongyang. He called South Korea "the main enemy" of North Korea and stressed that the reunification of the two Koreas is no longer possible. China, along with North Korea, has always considered the cooperation and military actions of South Korea, the United States and Japan in East Asia to be a violation of stability in the region and on the Korean Peninsula and has repeatedly warned of their consequences.
