North Korea successfully conducted new missile test

According to the North Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), the North Korean Missile Administration announced that a multi-head missile test was conducted yesterday in an area ranging from 170 to 200 kilometers.

The statement claimed that "the test was carried out successfully" in line with the rapid development of missile technology. The statement claimed that the multi-head missile "correctly" reached three different targets, and noted that the test was of great importance in terms of the development of North Korea's missile technology. 

South Korea announced that the test was a failure The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff announced yesterday that a "ballistic missile" launched from near Pyongyang at around 05:30 local time exploded in the air over the East Sea after flying 250 kilometers. The Yonhap news agency, citing a military source, had speculated that North Korea "may have tested a hypersonic missile."
