Nuri Maliki said at the fourth anniversary of the martyrdom of Qasem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis in Baghdad: The Iraqi people do not accept the presence of foreign forces on their land, especially because they kill the children of this land. Falah al-Fayaz, head of the Hashd al-Shaab, also said on the fourth anniversary of the martyrdom of the victorious commanders in Baghdad: “When we talk about the martyr Colonel General Qassem Soleimani and the martyr Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, we are faced with unparalleled sincerity.” Regarding Iran's assistance to Iraq in the fight against the terrorist group ISIS, he emphasized: Iran played a big role in supporting Iraq in the fight against the terrorist group ISIS. The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Baghdad held a ceremony to mark the anniversary of the martyrdom of Soleimani and Abu Mehdi Al-Muhandis, the Victory Generals. Colonel General Qasem Soleimani, Abu Mehdi al-Muhandis and some of their comrades were killed in the early morning of January 3, 2020, in an air attack by American terrorist forces near the airport in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq. Soleimani and Al-Muhandis have been prominent figures in the fight against takfiris and terrorist groups, including ISIS, in the West Asian region.
