According to local news the foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation countries also demanded the opening of border crossings in order to freely allow immediate humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.
The statement also warned of the danger of continued genocide and ethnic cleansing in the Gaza Strip.
At the end of the statement, the foreign ministers of the OIC countries called on the international community to take practical measures to put pressure on the Zionist regime to stop attacks on the Gaza Strip.
An emergency meeting of the foreign ministers of the OIC member countries on the situation in the Gaza Strip was held in Jeddah on Tuesday.
Earlier, on October 18, 2023, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation held an emergency meeting of its executive committee at the level of foreign ministers of the OIC member countries in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), dedicated to considering the development of the situation in the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli regime began a destructive war against the residents of the Gaza Strip on October 7. In addition to an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe and widespread destruction of infrastructure, tens of thousands of Palestinians, most of them children and women, were martyred as a result. These crimes led to Tel Aviv officials being brought before the International Court of Justice on charges of “genocide.”
