Ziad Abu Amr, the representative of Palestine in the United Nations, said in the session of the UN Security Council that discussed the events of West Asia and Palestine that Israel should be pressured to stop causing hunger to the people of Palestine and to respect the principles of the United Nations.

For his part, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Algeria said in the meeting that: The brutal regime of Israel is attacking the UNRWA organization because it wants to destroy Palestine.

Jordan's Foreign Minister also said: Israel uses hunger as a weapon of war and kills humanitarian aid workers in cold blood. He has also called for an end to the invasion and occupation of Palestinian lands and to find a permanent solution to solve the issue of Palestinian refugees.

The representative of Russia in the United Nations has also criticized the brutal attacks and sabotage of the Zionist administration on the workers of the UNRWA organization and said: The weakening of the position of the organization has had a destructive effect.

The Chinese delegate also explained that there is no evidence to confirm the claims of the Zionist regime regarding the cooperation of the UNRWA organization with the Hamas movement and asked the regime to stop its attacks against UNRWA.

Since the first day of the establishment of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), the Zionist administration of Israel tried at different times to end the life of the organization in order to achieve its long-term goal and thus made the issue of refugees not a priority and considered internationally.

In addition, in 1982, Ariel Sharon, Israel's minister of war at the time, planned to seize the refugee camps managed by the United Nations organization UNRWA in order to justify the destruction and crime against the Palestinian citizens in the camp. The Sabra and Shatila massacres in Beirut occurred when the Zionist regime's allies entered 2 refugee camps and massacred 3,500 Palestinians. That was the most difficult period for UNRWA. During the 2008-2009 military offensive against the Palestinians in Gaza, known as Operation Cast Lead, UNRWA schools and warehouses were bombed by the Zionist regime, which caused great international concern.

Sabra and Shatila massacre

The UNRWA organization was attacked again when Israel attacked Gaza in 2014, where schools and places that were sheltering Palestinian refugees were targeted by the attacks of the Zionist regime, causing great loss and damage.

In its latest efforts, the Zionist regime showed the image that it is a victim of the al Aqsa Cyclone operation and once again carried out its conspiracy against UNRWA by accusing the staff of the UN organization of having participated in the al Aqsa Cyclone operation. Israel used the issue as an excuse to block humanitarian aid from various countries to UNRWA and also block the activities of the aid institution for Palestinian refugees. Currently, Israel has increased the pressure on the residents of the Gaza Strip under siege by causing them hunger and various problems in order to force them to leave the area.

In this regard, Haaretz recently revealed that Netanyahu's right-wing government has launched a massive propaganda campaign by opening hundreds of fake accounts on social media to tarnish the image of UNRWA.

The newspaper has quoted several researchers and explained that Israel has created 600 fake accounts on the X, Instagram and Facebook networks to defame the UNRWA organization.

Haaretz has reported that the Zionist regime is trying to advance its narrative against Hamas and UNRWA by using these fake social media accounts.

At first, some countries, especially the United States, were affected by the false propaganda of the Zionist regime, and without conducting the necessary investigation to verify the suspicions of the regime or waiting for the answers of the United Nations investigation, they suddenly stopped their aid to UNRWA; but in this week's meeting of the United Nations Security Council, no country supported the suspension of UNRWA's activities, not even the British and French governments; and the representative of the Democratic government led by Biden threw the ball in the court of the Congress controlled by the Republicans. The US representative said that the country's Congress has banned further aid to UNRWA at least until 2025, and acknowledged that since the start of the war against the Gaza Strip, more than 240 humanitarian aid workers have been killed while carrying out their duties in that area.

Therefore, the positions of Western countries, as well as the strong and critical positions of other countries that supported the continued existence of UNRWA can be evaluated as another failure of the Zionist regime of Israel, because the right-wing government of Netanyahu thought that, using badly, the air that has proved itself to be a victim since the operation of al-Al-Aqsa Hurricane, will achieve its long-term goal of ending the activities of UNRWA. However, Netanyahu's wishes have been dismissed and the international community has supported the revitalization and development of UNRWA's activities.
