In a harrowing account that has drawn widespread condemnation, a 24-year-old Palestinian man, Mujahid Abadi, described his brutal treatment by Israeli forces during a recent raid in the West Bank city of Jenin. Abadi recounted being shot, beaten, and ultimately strapped to the hood of an Israeli military jeep, an incident captured on video and widely circulated on social media.
The incident began when Abadi stepped outside his uncle's house to check for Israeli forces in the neighborhood. He was immediately caught in crossfire, resulting in gunshot wounds to his arm and foot. Unable to move, he contacted his father, fearing for his life. Shortly thereafter, Israeli soldiers discovered him, inflicted further injuries, and strapped him to the hood of a military jeep.
"I screamed because of the heat," Abadi recounted from his hospital bed. "One of the soldiers cursed at me and told me to be quiet."
