United Nations organizations have said that Palestinian children in the Gaza Strip are dying in pain for lack of emergency treatment due to the authorities of the Zionist administration of Israel preventing them from going to receive treatment outside the besieged area after the Rafah crossing was closed.

According to the organizations, the number of Palestinian children who are allowed to be taken out of Gaza for treatment is decreasing every day.

Speaking about the situation, the spokesperson of the United Nations Children's Organization, UNICEF, James Elder said, while before around 300 children were displaced every month, the number has now decreased to less than one child per day, while doctors remain hopeless. any authorization from the authorities of the Zionist regime of Israel that control people from outside Gaza. He has warned that, if the situation continues, it will take more than seven years to evacuate the 2,500 children who need emergency medical care.

"As a result, children in Gaza are dying, not only from bombs and bullets and shells that hit them," said Elder while describing several cases of children with serious life-threatening injuries who have been delayed or refused to be transferred without giving any explanation.

The spokesperson of UNICEF has explained with regret that, even when miracles happen, when bombs explode and houses collapse and a large number of people die, when a child survives, he is also prevented from leaving Gaza to receive urgent medical care that can save his life.

For its part, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees UNRWA has said that normal life is becoming a nightmare in Gaza because meeting basic needs such as food is a big test for many people and gives an example of the situation in the city of Deir al- Balah where even bread, which is a staple food, is a challenge..
