Pentagon: We do not seek conflict with Yemenis
The representative of the US Department of Defense emphasized that his country does not seek conflict with Iran or the Yemenis.
As reported by Al-Masirah News Agency, an official representative of the US Department of Defense at a press conference organized on Thursday emphasized that Washington does not seek conflict with the Yemeni group Ansarullah. "We do not seek conflict with Iran or the Houthis (members of Ansarullah). Our goal is to ensure safe navigation," he said. An hour earlier, US President Joe Biden, despite acknowledging the ineffectiveness of his country's attacks on Ansarullah in Yemen, said these attacks would continue. A reporter asked Biden: "Are strikes against the Houthis in Yemen effective?" He replied: "When you say they are effective [the question arises], are they stopping the Houthis? No! But will they continue? Yes." Let us recall that the United States and Britain carried out the fourth round of attacks on Ansarullah’s positions in Yemen. Several cities and different areas of Yemen were attacked by warships of the American and British fleet. Al-Masirah TV channel reported details of this operation: The American-British attacks began from the provinces of Hodeidah and Dhamar, and then spread to the provinces of Saada, Taiz and Al-Bayda.
