UN Against Ukraine Drone Attacks Targeting Russian Civil Infrastructure
UN reacts to Ukrainian military drone attack on civilian infrastructure in Russia. According to the Tass news agency, Farhan Haq, Deputy Spokesman of the Secretary General of the United Nations responded to a question about the latest drone strike by Ukrainian troops in Moscow on Sunday (30/7/2023) by stating that the UN is opposed to drone attacks on civilian infrastructure. According to this report, two Ukrainian drones planning to attack Moscow were shot down west of the city at around 3:45 a.m. on Sunday (July 30) local time. No casualties were reported as a result of this incident and there was only minor damage to sections of two office buildings in Moscow. Meanwhile, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines of his trip to the city of Ivano in the west of the country said that the war had gradually reached Russia and that this was an inevitable and fair process. Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Head of Russia's National Security Council responded to Ukraine's continued attack on civilian infrastructure in Moscow, saying, "If Ukraine's counterattack is successful, then Russia will be forced to use nuclear weapons, even if NATO divides parts of Russia's territory,".(PH )
