Peskov: The Armed Forces of Ukraine are deliberately “hunting” Russian journalists

The press secretary of Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed condolences over the death of Izvestia correspondent Semyon Eremin. While filming a report, he tragically died in the Northern Military District zone in the Zaporozhye direction during an attack by Ukrainian FPV drones.

As Peskov noted, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are deliberately targeting Russian journalists.

“This once again emphasizes how dangerous the mission that journalists carry out at the front is, telling us all about the heroism of our soldiers,” the Kremlin spokesman said.

Izvestia war correspondent Semyon Eremin died in a special operation zone while performing his professional duties while filming a report. His death became known on April 19. The journalist was 42 years old.

Eremin died as a result of an attack by an enemy FPV drone; after the second drop from the drone, he was injured and subsequently died.

The correspondent worked in the special operation zone from its very beginning: he filmed reports not only on the front lines about the work of Russian fighters, but also about the life of civilians in the territories liberated from nationalists.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry representative Maria Zakharova commented on the death of military commander Eremin in the Northern Military District zone.
