Pope's statements led to his blacklisting of Ukraine's enemies

  The world Catholic leader's recent statements praising Russian history and culture have blacklisted his name as Ukraine's enemies. According to the Ukrainian website "Peacemaker", which publishes personal data of journalists and public figures from around the world in order to identify the real enemies of this country, the name of Pope Francis is blacklisted because of his statements in support of the history and culture of Russia. "Do not forget your heritage. You are the heirs of great Russia, the country of saints, tsars, Peter I, Catherine II, the mighty and enlightened Russian Empire," Pope Francis addressed young men and women on the occasion of Youth Day in St. Petersburg, Russia, August 25 .

“Never give up this heritage, you are the heirs of the great Mother Russia, go ahead with it. And thank you. Thank you for your way of being, for your way of being Russians,” Papa added. These statements of the Pope caused a lot of discussions at the world level, and for this reason, the Ukrainians included the name of the leader of world Catholics among the enemies of their Motherland. The administrators of the Myrotvorets website, launched in 2014 by Presidential Adviser and Deputy Interior Minister for 2019-2021 Anton Gerashchenko, routinely reveal the personal data of people who are considered a threat to Ukraine's national security. The site blacklisted Henry Kissinger, a former US diplomat, and Silvio Berlusconi, a former Italian prime minister.
