The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ireland, Micheál Martin, has said that it is not acceptable at all to prevent and delay the recognition of the independent state of Palestine with its capital being Baytul Muqaddas.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ireland has also touched on how his country presented an official proposal to recognize the independent state of Palestine and said that it is without a shadow of a doubt that nothing can prevent his country from recognizing the existence of an independent state of Palestine.

He has also reminded that six months ago he spoke about the existence of an independent Palestinian state and that the issue should not be delayed at all.

The remarks of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ireland came after the Spanish government announced that the Prime Minister of the country Pedro Sanchez will meet with some of his fellow leaders in the European Union next week to try to support and speed up the issue of official national recognition independent Palestine.

The spokesperson of the Spanish Government, Pilar Alegria, has told reporters that the agenda of the Prime Minister of the country Pedro Sanchez includes meetings with the prime ministers of Norway, Ireland, Portugal, Slovenia and Belgium, and highlights the position of the European Union on the Israeli war in the Gaza Strip in Palestine.
