Revealing the Zionist regime's plan to fight Hamas tunnels
The American newspaper The Wall Street Journal revealed the Zionist regime's plan to combat the tunnels of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (HAMAS).
The Wall Street Journal quoted US officials as saying: "Israel has prepared a system of large pumps to fill Hamas' network of tunnels in the Gaza Strip with seawater." Filling tunnels in the Gaza Strip with seawater to expel Hamas members would jeopardize the region's water resources, the newspaper said. Recently, US investigative reporter Seymour Hersh reported in a Substack post that an informed US official told me that Israeli leaders are considering flooding Hamas's vast tunnel system with seawater before sending troops (into the Gaza Strip). Meanwhile, strategy experts have announced that despite existing restrictions, the Gaza Strip has some 340 kilometers of tunnels that play a central role in the future development of hostilities in the occupied territories. These tunnels are estimated to be 1.8 to 2 meters high and 1.5 meters wide, creating strategic potential for resistance fighters. Another point about the tunnels is the ineffectiveness of the Zionist regime's bombs in destroying them. Despite great efforts, the Zionist regime had not yet reached the tunnels, the gathering centers of resistance fighters and the operational quarters of commanders, and the bombing of hospitals under the false pretext of entering the tunnels had a negative impact on the perception of the regime in public opinion.
