Lapid: Netanyahu's defeat in Operation Al-Aqsa Storm was catastrophic
The former prime minister and head of the current opposition faction of the Zionist regime in his speech called the current situation in the occupied territories a catastrophic failure for the prime minister of this regime, Benjamin Netanyahu, and demanded his resignation.
At the beginning of a meeting of his party’s parliamentary faction, Yair Lapid said, referring to Benjamin Netanyahu: “Anyone who loses like this cannot continue. Netanyahu registered this disaster in his name and lost the confidence of the cabinet, the security authorities and the people. Let him do the only honorable thing possible: resign.” He added: “If I had been prime minister on October 7, what would Netanyahu and his people have said? There is no doubt that in this case he would be standing here now and demanding my beheading.” Lapid also emphasized: It is time for this cabinet to return home and free us from its sins and mistakes. Lapid's statements come as polls show that the acceptance of Netanyahu and his Likud party has declined, especially after the Palestinian resistance operation Al-Aqsa Storm, and the voices of his opponents have increased. The results of a new poll in the occupied territories show that more than 70% of Zionists oppose the continuation of the office of the ruling Zionist regime led by Benjamin Netanyahu.
