Riyadh's delayed response to the genocide in the Gaza Strip
After 120 days of genocide and systematic murder of defenseless Palestinians in the Gaza Strip by the Israeli regime, the Saudi Defense Minister has called for a ceasefire in the enclave.
According to news site Arab 21, Khaled bin Salman, speaking at a meeting of the military alliance against terrorism in Riyadh, said that the Israeli regime's continued attacks and genocide against the Palestinian people require a united stand from the Islamic community. The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that since the start of the war, the number of martyrs has reached 27,238 and the number of wounded has reached 66,452, of whom more than 70% are children and women. Since October 7 last year, the Israeli regime, with the support of the United States and under the pretext of fighting the Hamas movement, began to carry out brutal air and ground strikes on the Gaza Strip and genocide the defenseless population of this region. These attacks have so far left more than 100,000 Gazans dead, injured or missing. During this period, Arab and Muslim countries in the region did not show a decisive reaction to the crimes of the Zionist regime and limited themselves to expressing concerns or making meaningless statements.
