Russia Holds War Exercises to Prevent Nuclear Attacks
The Kremlin announced that the Russian military was holding strategic deterrence exercises under the direct supervision of President Vladimir Putin.
The Kremlin in a statement on Wednesday (25/10/2023) stated that the nuclear attack prevention war games were held under the leadership of Vladimir Putin as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, and the participation of land, air and sea troops as well as nuclear deterrence force equipment. The Kremlin added that in these exercises practical launches of cruise and ballistic missiles were carried out and the Yars intercontinental ballistic missile was fired from the Tula nuclear submarine in the Barents Sea. The statement added that the objectives of the exercise had been fully achieved. Russia's strategic nuclear forces are the main part of the country's strategic offensive forces and include strategic missile forces, strategic naval nuclear forces and strategic air nuclear forces.
