Russia: NATO is acting in a destabilizing manner

  On the occasion of NATO's 75th anniversary, Russia once again criticized the Western defense alliance. NATO was planned, configured, created and directed by the USA as an instrument of confrontation - especially on the European continent. Dmitri Peskov, Kremlin spokesman Peskov said this on Thursday, according to the Interfax agency. From Peskov's perspective, NATO's activities are currently neither promoting security nor stability in Europe, "but on the contrary are a destabilizing factor." Peskov: Russia and NATO are effectively in "direct confrontation" Russia, which invaded neighboring Ukraine more than two years ago, repeatedly blames the West for its war of aggression and claims that it threatened Moscow.

With regard to the war, Peskov said in Moscow that relations between Russia and NATO had "de facto descended to a level of direct confrontation." What the USA is currently doing, NATO should do in the future: coordinating arms deliveries to Ukraine - preparation in the event that US commitment weakens. NATO celebrates its 75th birthday today. The Western alliance is "involved in the conflict over Ukraine." The Western defense alliance is celebrating the 75th anniversary of its founding in Brussels on Thursday.
