Russia will shoot down dozens of Ukrainian drones
The Ministry of Defense of Russia has announced that it has controlled and shot down several Ukrainian drones in the Crimean Peninsula.
The Sputnik news agency has informed that, the Ministry of Defense of Russia yesterday Sunday issued a statement and announced that the air defense force of the country's army has intercepted and destroyed 38 drones of the Ukrainian army in the area of the Crimean Peninsula.
The Crimean Peninsula has been attacked by Ukrainian forces several times so far since the start of the war in Ukraine on February 24, 2022; most of the attacks were intercepted by the Russian Air Defense Forces.
This is in a situation where Moscow considers the Crimean Peninsula to be part of Russia; and has announced that it will use all means including nuclear weapons to protect the country's territorial integrity.
The island of Crimea joined Russia in 2014 after a referendum, however, Ukraine and several other Western countries have not officially recognized the decision of Crimea to join Russia and hold the referendum.
