Ryabkov: Russian-American relations are collapsing

Sergei Ryabkov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia described the current relations between Russia and the United States as collapsing. "Vladimir Putin," the president of Russia, recently warned that America is trying to create a self-centered unipolar world. According to the AAA, Ryabkov said on Tuesday that relations between Russia and the United States are in danger of collapsing and he held the United States responsible for this situation. Ryabkov added that the "New Start" deal can be revived; but it is necessary for Washington to leave its anti-Russian position and see signs of revision by this country.

Ryabkov added: Moscow has gained more capabilities to defend its security after announcing the suspension of participation in the New Start treaty. Russia has announced in advance that it has suspended its participation in the New Start Treaty, the only remaining arms control agreement with the United States. "The European Union has lost Russia. But it's her fault." Thus Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in an interview with the newspaper Argumenty i Fakty.

"The European Union "lost" Russia. But it is her fault. After all, it is the EU member countries and the leaders of the Union itself who openly declare the need to inflict on Russia, as they say, a strategic defeat. For these reasons, we consider the EU to be an unfriendly association," Lavrov said.Among other reasons, he also pointed to the shipment of ammunition and weapons to the Kiev regime, as well as instructors and mercenaries to Ukraine.

He claimed that Moscow has drawn the necessary conclusions, and therefore intends to act "firmly if necessary", but relying on national interests and on the principles of reciprocity. However, the foreign minister explained, in case the EU abandons the anti-Russian course, Moscow will consider proposals in accordance with the Conception of Foreign Policy of the Russian Federation.Lavrov also noted that his current trips abroad reflect "Russian priorities in the international arena".Earlier, the minister said that the United States and "its vassals" are doing everything possible to achieve Russia's international isolation.
