Sana'a's reaction to the Security Council statement on the operation of Yemeni forces in the Red Sea
The Foreign Ministry of Yemen's Government of National Salvation stressed on Tuesday morning, in response to a statement by the UN Security Council regarding the operation of the country's armed forces in the Red Sea, that the operation will continue until the military aggression of the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip ceases.
Members of the UN Security Council on Monday evening issued a statement condemning attacks by Yemeni forces on commercial ships in the Red Sea.
According to the CNN news agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Salvation of Yemen expressed regret over the UN Security Council's condemnation of the operations of the country's armed forces in the Red and Arabian Seas in support of the Gaza Strip.
The statement said: "We reiterate that Yemen's operations in the Red and Arabian Seas are closely linked to events in the Gaza Strip, and this is an exceptional humanitarian situation that has the support of the Yemeni people and all the people of the region and the world."
“The operation of the armed forces will continue and will not stop until the criminal aggression of the Zionists in the Gaza Strip is stopped and the siege (of the Gaza Strip) is lifted. The Security Council statement on the operation in the Red and Arab Seas shows the US readiness to support the barbaric actions of the Israeli (regime) in the Gaza Strip,” the Yemeni Foreign Ministry added.
The statement said: “It is shameful that for nearly 200 days the Security Council has failed to issue a statement condemning the daily killings of children and women in the Gaza Strip by the Israeli enemy.”
Yemen's Foreign Ministry said the Security Council should have prevented America from supplying weapons to the usurper Zionist regime, through which thousands of massacres are being carried out against the people of Gaza.
