The Anadolu News Agency reported that a contract had been signed between Riyadh and Ankara to equip the Saudi army with shields against Turkish-made drones. Turkey's GHOST anti-drone shield, which was designed to thwart threats from drones in the country's defense industry, will be exported to Saudi Arabia, Anadolu News Agency reported on Monday. This contract was signed between the defense industrial company Asser Technology of Turkey and the General Directorate of Military Industry of Saudi Arabia. Asli Murad, vice president of the Turkish technology company Asser Technology, said after the conclusion of this contract:

“Thanks to the system they developed, drones are detected at long distances and possible attacks are automatically prevented.” Saudi Arabia is the first Arab country in the Persian Gulf to purchase Turkey's anti-drone system. According to this report, this system can be used to provide security for airports, military installations and police centers, prisons and important populated areas.
