According to Al Jazeera, Faisal bin Farhan said Tuesday evening that Saudi Arabia condemns attacks on civilians and demands the prevention of civilian bloodshed and the release of prisoners. Ben Farhan added that the Security Council's silence in the face of successive crises is unacceptable and it will pay the price for prolonging the crisis. The Saudi Foreign Minister added that the policies of UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres have dangerous consequences that go beyond the current crisis in the Gaza Strip. Farhan clarified that the Security Council is not capable of making a decision on resolving the crisis in Gaza and is in fact responsible for the delay in resolving the Palestinian issue. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia emphasized that the Palestinian people are now suffering under the massive bombing of Israel in the silence of the world community.

Prior to this, the Saudi Foreign Minister, during a joint press conference at UN headquarters, together with his Egyptian and Jordanian counterparts, called for an immediate end to the war and the lifting of the blockade of the Gaza Strip.
