Spanish official criticizes EU silence on genocide in Gaza
Spain's acting minister of social rights deplored the escalation of the Zionist regime's recent attacks on the Gaza Strip and asked the European Union not to make them a partner in genocide.
According to Anadolu News Agency, Ione Belarra, in a video message on social media X, said: “After this hellish night in the Gaza Strip, I have a very simple but very important message for European leaders; Don't make us complicit in genocide. Don't act on our behalf." She called for the cessation of diplomatic relations with the Zionist regime and the imposition of economic sanctions as a deterrent against those responsible for the ongoing violence in Gaza, and added: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should be tried at the International Criminal Court on war crimes charges against humanity.
Various Spanish government officials, while continuing their strong defense of the Palestinian nation over the past 23 days and condemning all crimes of the Zionist regime against the Palestinians, once again condemned the crimes of the Israeli regime in Gaza and demanded that the international community put an end to the crimes and attacks of the Zionist regime against the Palestinians. Until now, many countries, groups and individuals have demanded an end to the Zionist genocide in the Gaza Strip, and in many cities people have expressed their disgust at the crimes of the Zionist regime through street demonstrations. The Zionist regime's attacks on Gazans began on October 7, and to date, more than 8,000 have been martyred, 19,743 injured and 1,800 missing.
