Statement by Lebanese Hezbollah on the occasion of International Al-Quds Day
Lebanese Hezbollah issued a statement calling for widespread Muslim participation in International Al-Quds Day. Hezbollah's statement, issued Sunday to mark the upcoming International Al-Quds Day, said: "We invite you to celebrate the Day of Covenant Renewal, Liberation of Al-Quds and Festival of the Holy Shield ( of the Resistance) in the West Bank, where the Secretary-General of Hezbollah will deliver a speech."
Seyed Hassan Nasrallah, the secretary-general of Lebanese Hezbollah, also called for large-scale popular participation in the World Quds Day demonstrations in his speech last Friday, as part of the confrontation between the Palestinian people and the region's population in defense of Al -Quds (Jerusalem) and the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and said that he will speak at the Al-Quds Day ceremonies next Friday about what has happened in southern Lebanon and the Gaza Strip.
The last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan is World Quds Day and the day of manifesting the unity and solidarity of Muslims around the world in the face of the disproportionate demands of Islam's enemies.Imam Khomeini (RA), the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, designated the last Friday of the fasting month of Ramadan as Al-Quds Day so that the world's Muslims might show solidarity and unity to the meaning of Al-Quds Day and the innocent Palestinian Supporting the people in resisting oppression by the Zionist regime.
