The Arab world condemns the desecration of the Holy Qur'an in the Netherlands
The act of desecrating the holy book of the Qur'an in the Netherlands has faced complaints and condemnations from the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council, the Arab Parliament and the Arab countries of the West Asian region. Jassem Muhammad al-Budaiwi, the Secretary General of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council, has condemned the act of a radical group to desecrate the Holy Qur'an in front of some ambassadors in the Netherlands and said that such actions are hateful and provocative. The senior leader of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council has asked the international community to take quick and effective measures to deal with actions like this. Al-Budaiwi also said, unfortunately, these actions have been repeated recently under the pretext of freedom of expression and no clear answers have been followed by these actions.
The Secretary General of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council has also emphasized that countries where such incidents occur should take immediate action because they are legally and morally responsible. On the other hand, the Arab Parliament has also condemned the desecration of the Holy Qur'an in the Netherlands and emphasized that it does not fully agree with such irresponsible actions that cause hatred and violence and threaten international peace and security. The Arab Parliament has called for the establishment of international laws to respect the dignity of religion and to deal with violence and extremism. The parliament has emphasized that insisting on such unethical actions leads to the emergence of conflicts and tensions along with the loss of mutual respect between people and nations.
