The armies of India, Mozambique, Tanzania in a joint exercise in the Indian Ocean
Joint exercises between the navies of Mozambique, Tanzania and India began on Thursday off the coast of East Africa in the Indian Ocean.
In its statement, the Indian Navy said that the exercise that started on March 21 will continue until the 29th of this month and will be divided into two phases.
In the first phase, from March 21 to 24, the Indian warships Tir and Sujata will join the navies of Tanzania and Mozambique in the ports of Zanzibar and Maputo.
The statement said: " This phase will include operations such as fire fighting, ship arrest, medical treatment, casualty rescue and diving operations.
The second phase, from March 24 to 27, will include dealing with unconventional threats, practicing search and capture, boating skills and artillery practice. In addition, there will be an exercise to protect the patrol.
The first trilateral exercise in October 2022 involved the Indian warship INS Tarkash and the navies of Tanzania and Mozambique.
