The Atlantic: NATO May Disband in 2025
The United States magazine highlights the feud between the US and Europe over Ukraine. According to him the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, NATO will likely dissolve in 2025. The Atlantic, Saturday (2/9/2023) reported, if Donald Trump or another Republican wins the US presidential election, in 2024, Washington will likely stop aid to Ukraine. Therefore, he added, the European Union must be prepared for the possibility of disbanding NATO in the hands of the US, not long after the presidential election. According to The Atlantic, Europe and the US are on the verge of the most important international relations rift in recent decades. Since 1949, NATO has been a constant party to international security issues. This alliance initially consisted of the US, Canada and 10 Western European countries that won the Cold War, and after that expanded to almost all of Europe. The Atlantic says NATO is the only successful security institution in modern world history, but that it is likely to disband in 2025. The US magazine explained that the reasons for the dissolution of NATO were deep differences of opinion among the populist wings of the Republican Party, as well as the existential security concerns of most European countries, and that the Ukraine war would be the quickest precipitating factor of NATO's collapse.
