The Guardian reports on UK military interventions in 19 countries over the past 12 years
The results of the study showed that British special forces have been involved in covert operations in 19 countries over the past 12 years, including Russia, Syria, Ukraine and Sudan. Since 2011, British special forces have been secretly involved in operations in 19 countries, including Russia and Ukraine. This was reported by The Guardian, citing a report by the research group Action on Armed Violence.
As it became known from the relevant documents, the Special Airborne Service (SAS), the Special Boat Service (SBS) and the Special Intelligence Regiment (SRR) secretly took part in operations, including in Ukraine and the Philippines, in Estonia, France, Libya, Pakistan, as well as in Sudan. It is noted that the British military units were most active in Syria, where they arrived in 2012 to "provide support" to the rebel groups. The Guardian also recalled that special forces led a mission to rescue British diplomats and their families in April 2023, when active hostilities began in Sudan.
