The OIC wants Israel to be held responsible for crimes against the Palestinians
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has called on the international community to take action and hold the Zionist regime of Israel accountable, due to the crimes and genocide committed by the illegal regime against the Palestinians of the Gaza Strip.
Addressing the 15th OIC summit that ended yesterday Sunday in Gambia's capital, Banjul, OIC Secretary General, Hissein Brahim Taha said, the community supports efforts to recognize an independent Palestinian state, with its capital being Quds (Jerusalem). and that country become a full member of the United Nations.
Taha has made it clear that all member countries of the community have unanimously agreed to support the right of the residents of Gaza to receive humanitarian aid, and the right of the Palestinians to have an independent state recognized by the UN.
The Secretary General of the OIC has emphasized the need to hold Israel accountable for its actions under international law, along with supporting the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) so that it can continue its important humanitarian activities in Gaza.
Similarly, the OIC leaders who attended the meeting in Gambia wanted to hold the Zionist administration of Israel responsible for its crimes against the Palestinians of Gaza.
They strongly condemned Israel's ongoing war in the Gaza Strip, which has led to the loss of nearly 35,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children.
In addition, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has called for an independent investigation into the ongoing crimes committed by the Israeli regime in Gaza. It described the crimes as "war crimes and crimes against humanity".
