The people of Venezuela marched in support of the people of Palestine
Thousands of Venezuelans marched through the streets of Caracas (the capital of Venezuela) in support of the Palestinian people.
According to the AVN news agency, Diosdado Cabello, deputy chairman of the ruling United Socialist Party of Venezuela, said during the rally: “The bombing of the Gaza Strip has awakened the world’s solidarity with the problem of the people of Palestine.” “We know that sooner or later Palestine will be liberated, its territory will go to the people, and laws will be implemented in the world. We demand an immediate end to violence,” he added. At the rally, the Venezuelan people in Caracas, chanting anti-Zionist slogans, condemned the attacks of the Zionist regime on the Palestinians. At the same time, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro also called on Christians around the world to oppose the massacre of the Palestinian people, hold international meetings and return Palestine to its “territory, independence and sovereignty.” Recall that in 2009, the Venezuelan government broke off relations with the Zionist regime after the operation in the Gaza Strip, which led to the martyrdom of more than 1,000 Palestinians. Three months later, Caracas recognized Palestinian independence and established official relations with it. On October 18, Venezuela sent more than 30 tons of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
